Omada BE5000 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Outdoor Access Point with Directional/Omni Antennas, EAP725-Outdoor

Living off-grid deep in the forest doesn't mean I can go without internet—especially when I need reliable coverage both indoors and out across the property.
The TP-Link Omada series has been a game-changer. This access point, paired with the Omada Controller, creates a rock-solid mesh Wi-Fi network that's easy to manage and packed with pro-level features.
Setup is ridiculously simple—almost annoyingly so. My old Google Nest Wi-Fi felt like rocket science by comparison, and it offered far fewer capabilities.
I already had two Omada APs (see the circled ones in the attached photos), but I wanted to upgrade the roof-mounted unit to Wi-Fi 7 for future-proof performance. This model is built like a tank: solid, hefty, and thoughtfully designed. It features a built-in directional antenna plus two detachable omnidirectional ones for flexible coverage, and it's PoE-powered—just one cable for power and data (same as my older units). Note: it doesn't include a PoE injector, so plan accordingly.
Literally seconds after adopting it in the controller, the AP was online and performing beautifully.
For the build quality, antenna options, Wi-Fi 7 speeds, and all the enterprise-grade features, the price is outstanding.
I installed it, in a few minutes, on the roof.
The signal was strong and consistent.
After a few weeks I bought two more to expand the Wi-Fi in all the property.
Off-grid life just got a serious connectivity upgrade.

Having upgraded from the EAP225-Outdoor, the range and speed performance on this access point is a night and day difference! The unit itself is beefy and the metal passive cooling is a big contributor to that, which I love that they designed it that way. Outdoor cooling is essential for high performance. Happy with this purchase. As always, Omada knocked this one out of the park. Well done!
