I use a number of these around my network when I have very little room to work with and they are phenomenal. Have had no issues connecting to my controller or any loss of signal or downgrade in link negotiation.
Set it up and it works great as a switch. Only reason didn't give it 5 stars is that sometimes you need to hard power reset it if you need to enter the local editing portal and it was previously connected to a router you had to disconnect due to it blocking local devices connecting; no power switch or reset switch made it annoying to do.
These are a great edge switch that has basic L2 features at a great price.
I needed 2 of these to replace 2 dumb switches to get my LG TV off the native / default LAN and onto a more isolated VLAN. I don't use an Omada Controller, so the standalone UI was perfect.
I also needed 2 more to replace some desktop switches. These are fanless and totally silent, so they were perfect for that application. These needed the 2.5GbE and the 10GbE uplink to support 3 PC.
There is only 1 thing missing: There is no support for SNMP or remote syslog. But, that minor and would add cost.
I use the ES206X-M2 in my home Omada network together with multiple access points, VLANs, cameras, NAS, and other wired devices.
It has been very reliable, easy to manage through the Omada Controller, and the 2.5GbE ports are a big advantage for faster devices and uplinks. VLAN configuration and port management work exactly as expected.
Compact, stable, and a very good fit for a modern home network.
Not fully working with Omada SDN. Does not populate IP addresses in clients tab.
